Because you get the "freedom" and are exposed to a multitude of new things to do and try. The fact that you started a life of hedonism is not that bad. The main thing is to know when to stop. Which I guess you now know. As for the CCs not all of them are bad. I went to Navarro College in Tx and they really stressed on excellence for their education. It was as good as a 4 year school, but cheaper :) So don't be too harsh with all of them! Anyway, I hope you get eventually published, since writing seems to be your dream.
